

Doyali Islam Reads at TIA House

Join us at TIA House on September 13th for a reading by poet Doyali Islam!
Doyali Islam’s second poetry book is heft (McClelland & Stewart, 2019), which the poet considers to be a “ledger of tenderness, survival, and risk.” Poems from this collection have been published in Kenyon Review Online, The Fiddlehead, fillingStation, and Best Canadian Poetry, and have won several national contests and prizes. In 2019, Doyali was interviewed by Shelagh Rogers for CBC Radio’s The Next Chapter and by Anne Michaels for CV2, and was in conversation with Forrest Gander for Adroit Journal. In 2017, Doyali was interviewed by Michael Enright for The Sunday Edition and was a National Magazine Award finalist. The poetry editor of Arc, she lives in Toronto. www.doyali-islam.com
